Make no mistake, Apple has won this race. Everyone has tried to convince me otherwise. But I don't see it, even within Honeycomb (Android 3). Its funny how companies are replicating what is Apple is doing. RIM is going to miss the boat, if they haven't already. Their tablet is garbage. Not to mention, the BES server idea guys sucks. As an IT admin as well, and the CEO of tekGIANTS, I have seen many people's BES servers come and go. If I had it my way, I would like a meteor hit RIM's HQ. Sorry guys, but some C-man there just doesn't get it. They are about 7 years late.

Over the past 12 months we have seen influx of tablets pile into the market place upon the huge success of Apple's iPad and now iPad 2. I can tell you we have tested almost every reputable unit and in my opinion the closest I have seen to anything being decent is the dock able Motorola Axiom phone (WITH LAPTOP), and the Samsung Tablet. Samsung is due to release a 10.1 in 3G (FREE) version. Which I have to admit peaks my interests. However the kindle was able to do it, therefore we feel the Samsung will be the only run for the money as it pertains to the tablets. The iPad 2 for me and rumored iPhone nano-style phone are also rumored to be coming out this summer. We will report our findings.

What we are seeing now is the true revolution and inevitable move into a completely mobile and less expensive user experience. I dont want to adjust my user interface and the way I do business to save a few bucks with the Google Chrome OS coming mid June. Google planetary takeover if far from the truth. I would think Apple is ahead. We have become users who want everything at their fingertips, and rightfully so. I dont want to change everything, I want my apps everywhere I go, including home-grown apps, quickbooks, etc...Yet no company has been able to deliver what I would call the full package or the complete IaaS (Infrastructure-as-a-Service) like tekGIANTS can. As small as we are. We did it. We spent the last three years developing this such platform and its been in use for 18 months.
