TO OUR TROOPS PAST, PRESENT & FUTURE:
...Every war, Every Country (For and Against us), deployment and mission to the present. Memorial Day is a day to remember the stories you have want erased. The nightmares you have of what you have seen and experienced. We take our freedom for granted. On 9/11 we saw a glimpse of what life could be like (conspiracies aside. People died). Never forget that day too as we could live that life. We could be running for our lives daily.
Thank you for keeping our freedom and making the USA the best Country on our Earth. We don't know how lucky we truly are until you have seen inhumane behavior, killing, poverty, war, dead woman/children, orphans crying for their parents. Try visiting a communist country where you cannot even use Face Book, The ability to walk down the street and not have to worry about a missile coming at you. People fail to realize war will continue for the rest of our existence on this planet and for generations to come, but we must always remember to keep love in our hearts and remain true to our values and morals.
It took my father over 30 years to be able to tell me about his experiences in Vietnam and I was shocked. I absorbed every word, every sentence and thought wow. My father told me about Vietnam tonight, Friends he saw pass in his arms, seeing Napalm demolish cities. I can only imagine. What would I do? I have no answer.
You can Blame every conflict on religion, oil, political agendas, dictators. But for one day of your life. Shed a tear for these men/woman with no limbs, PTSD, no sight, no hearing, the pain they face daily. The lost...
Shed a tear for every soldier that passed looking up at the stars/sun/moon or a familiar face begging for one last breath in some cold place. Our widows' who weep daily for their fallen husbands. The fatherless/motherless child....We think of you, your family, your son/daughter who stares at their Dad's folded military flag.
Support your local vets, wounded warriors, discharged servicemen/woman and say "Thank you". Shake the hand of a service man or woman and say Thank you. Because they risked their existence for YOU! Born here or not, you live in the USA, you live by our credo of the freedom that our Statue of Liberty displays
"Give me your tired, your poor, Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free..."
May God Bless you All. Wave it High and be proud to live in the United States. Thank you to our servicemen/woman!
